Subject: 90's names
I know this is going to sound really strange but what were some really popular names that you would name a baby in the 1990s? or names that you heard over and over and it seemed like everyone had that name.

If you name a girl Kayla, you pretty much sealed her fate as an exotic dancer.

I have 2 daughters born in 1995 and 1996 (and a third born 2001).
In their school years, Megan is definitely the most popular girls' name and James/Jamie for boys.

It's worse when you meet other parents at school called "Claire" who tell me that they were named after the Gilbert O'Sullivan song...which I remember as a hit in 1972 (ish)!
Subject: Re: 90's names
Too many "last" names used in the 90s IMHO..especially for girls. "Madison".."Taylor"..etc..I can't stand that phenomenon..but to each his/her own. A lot of odd spellings of somewhat common names for the time (Kayla, Keighla, Kaylah, etc) Just remember when you name a child..that kid has to deal with the name more than you! Also..fake accent marks where there is little need (ex.Alizé..someone in my stepson's school is actually named that!)

By the late 90's of lot people started naming their poor babies after Hiphop/Rap inspired products. Here are some examples:
Alize, Passion, Chrystal, moet, Remy and the WORST aLEXUS.
scary stuff man.
