I read the rules and hopefully will be able to abide by all of them. I'm bad like that. Tee-hee!
Anyway, the reason for my visit is that a friend of mine is claiming the "coining" of the word "punani".
Now this is where I feel my post may be borderline and I mean no disrespect whatsoever. To some this may be construed as obscene BUT it IS listed on the 90's terms list so...??? I'm not really BEING obscene just kinda asking about an obscene word. Is that bad?
I did a search already which yielded the big goose egg and I'm hoping that some of you may be able to help me track the origin of this word.
He says he coined it personally about 5 years ago and he resides in the southern part of Ohio.
Can anyone help?

I can tell you that SUBLIME wrote the song "Superstar Punani" in 1992 so I think it's safe to say your man OHIO is F.O.S. ;)

The word originated in the West Indies. And according to some old reggae albums I found on the net, the proper spelling is Punany.
