Hi, and thanks for the help!
First let me say that I'm new here.
I found the site while looking for some lyrics on google. The song turned out to be "This is Ponderous" by 2Nu, pretty obscure song.
Anyway,
I have very little info about the song, but mostly the video is what I remember.
It would have been 90, 91, or very early 92. It played in fairly regular rotation on MTV. It was a girl band,or at least lead singer was female. She wore black leather pants with lacing up the outside of the legs that showed her skin. Believe me when I say I care about the song, not what she looked like. I believe it was probably a rock ballad, or slower rock song. I also think she had long blonde hair. There were several clips of the band with all their instruments on a white background.
I know I'm looking for a needle in a haystack, but any ideas would be a great help. I'll take your suggestions and download them and see if it's the song I seek.

Not too obscure as a quick search revealed the band was easy to find. 2Nu in google search engine revealed

Wait, are you asking about the video by 2nu or a different one? The one you described sounds like it could be Lita Ford in "Kiss Me Once" or "Close My Eyes Forever" (duet with Ozzy Osbourne). I think she wore pants like those in the Kiss Me Once video, but it's not a ballad.

Did she have a nose ring attached to an earring by a chain? If so, try Jane Child "Don't Wanna Fall In Love"
If not, short blonde hair could be Roxette.

This is going to sound strange, but it might have been Heaven by Warrant. Jani Lane (the lead singer) has long blonde hair and I believe that he wears white pants that are laced up the side in that video. That song was popular at that time too.

Not Jane Child, It was more rock and less pop. I honestly appreciate the try though! It isn't warrant either, I have all of their hits already downloaded. :)
Does anyone know where there's a list of say, the billboard top 200 for the year or anything. I would probably need 90,91, 92, and 93 just to be safe.
I know it's hard, but I hope you all will keep trying. It's so frustrating to have the song right there on the tip of your mind, where it's been for four or five years now. Every suggestion willl be downloaded, so feel free to just guess!

Yup, just got done trying vixen. I didn't recognize any of the songs, the voice wasn't familiar either. I had heard of vixen, but never heard vixen...if you know what I mean :)

nope, not heart. I think I'm looking for that elusive pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I'll just give up and maybe someday stumble upon it. I appreciate all of the effort. I really enjoy this site, though and will be back!
