Subject: Best Development of the 90's
A co-worker and I were remincing about the old days and came to the conclusion that the best thing the 90's had to offer was better beer. M'mm, good beer can be found anywhere now, but you kids probably don't recall the pre-microbrewing days. In the 80's the best you could get was Lowenbrau and Heinenkan. There is so much to choose from now and it's a great thing. :)

Lol. Beer and Pearl Jam.

I with you there Race. Here in Colorado, microbreweries and handcrafted beer became all the rage (and still are to a degree). Now just about every town has its own microbrewery. I think its a lot of fun going out and tasting all the different flavors. We have finally started catching up to Europe in that respect.
IMO Microbrewed beer sure beats the crappy, watered down, cheap, mass produced American garbage such as the products by Coors, A-B, and Miller as well as a few others out there.
My motto is: Life is too short to drink cheap beer.

LMAO! Can I use it? Mine used to be: Life is too short to dance with ugly women.

Microbreweries are everywhere now. The mall closet to where I live even has one. It seems to be a much more refined drinking experience and the beers are a heck of a lot stronger because of the alcohol percentage. Although I have been to a couple bars that still sell Schlitz and Pabst. Old school, huh?
It's funny you brought this topic up because a couple days ago, I found an old Life magazine from 1986. It seemed like every other page in there was an ad for those Seagrams Wine Coolers. I guess I had forgotten how popular those were in the 80s.

We get Fat Tire (Brewed in Colorado) over here in Seattle, that's a good one. If you ever get a chance at Mac N Jack, that's my favorite on tap.

Oh yeah Fat Tire (made by New Belgium brewery of Ft. Collins) was one of the first microbrews to really take off. It is pretty much a standard on tap in almost all bars in Colorado. I havent heard of Mac N Jack yet. Is that a local Seattle brew? If I ever find it Ill definitely take your recommendation.

AOL is really cool, the ability to chat in real time is something I don't take for granted. Also thru AOL I can access cool websites like Airliners.net,NASCAR.com.and various NASCAR driver websites. And online gaming is cool! ;D

The AUTOMATIC EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR. Many police and fire units now have this technology to save a life even before the paramedics arrive on-scene! The AED is even in some shopping malls that are safety-savvy,Like HAMILTON MALL in Mays Landing NJ!!(the first mall in my area to recieve an AED!)
Another modern medical marvel:
The Free Style Blood Glucose meterwhich allows testing on the arm as well as the fingertips.

I've always loved Super Nintendo.
Subject: Re: Best Development of the 90's
the Nintendo Game Boy Advance,Sega Genesis, and Sony PlayStation. I just traded in my well-worn PlayStation for the MICROSOFT XBOX,and the XBOX is a major improvement over '90s video game technology!

Beer..?? I thought the subject was about Breast Development in the 1990's ;D Oh, oops! Well, uh... let see... I don't know how many of you have tried it, but I like Kokanee.
And I have to agree with you, the Best development would have to be the beer.

Breast development had it's big jump in the 80's with the devleopment of straight-to-video smut.
I do like Kokanee, it's what I usually pick up at the grocery store. It's a flavorfull- full tasting lager.

Gameboy Advance is a big improvement over 90's portable gaming.

Yo Race, am surprised you aren't raving about Rainier and Oly especially if they are still brewed locally. As for micros, I haven't been turned on by the few I've tried, with the exception of Boulder Beer, it had a nice kick.

I never cared for Oly but they did have a beautiful brewery in our state's capital that was open to the public. Unfortunatley it was completely closed last year. The Ranier brewery right off I-5 in Seattle was sold to shut down quite a while ago. I believe Miller or Anheiser Busch bought Ranier. Tully's coffee know leases the facility and the big red R has been replaced by a big red T. I sure to miss that R, I always thought of it as a welcoming beacon when I drove into the city. :-/
