i have been looking for this movie forever. all i know is that it came out in the early ninties.
the story is about this girl who goes undercover as a guy in some local highschool because of some journalism job(i think). but at the end she reveals herself to the guy who has become her best friend (i believe that its the blond hair guy from 21 jumpstreet). it is not boys don't cry -- it came out much earlier and it's not about transgender. please help!!!

I couldn't be bothered to check the release date, but perhaps it's "Never Been Kissed", starring Drew Barrymore as the journalist who was always on the outside back at school.
Although I think NBK wasn't *early* 90s...

Sounds like "One of the Boys" to me too, though I think it may have actually been release in the late 80s...
