Subject: The Bodyguard - Locations
Can anyone tell me the location used in the film The Bodyguard (92/93 - Houston/Costner) where Kevin took Whitney to his father's home on a lake/forest area. I've scanned the net but can't seem to find out exactly where it was. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks. ::)

Um...why do you wanna know? That movie was god-awful...a waste of film and talent...
No, seriously. Have you tried the International Movie Database? You might be able to find a lead there

I was able to find out it was Lake Tahoe/ Fallen Leaf Lake. Also found an interesting bit of info. The area is quite isolated, so when the locals found out about the film crews shooting on the lake (for the scene where Kevin Kostner jumps in the water after the boat that explodes) They all got their boats in the water near the filming so that they would disrupt the shooting of the scene. Unfortunately the weather was bad and shooting was cancelled anyway. The scene was filmed the next day and the locals didn't even know it happened.

It wasn't that bad. I thought it was one of the few times Whitney Houston was actually good.
