Subject: Nirvana Was Poetry
I read a comment made by a nirvana fan saying Heart Shape Box didn't make sense. It makes complete sense. It talks of Courtney Loves betrayal. MEat eating orchids is a reference to fruit orchids which feed(feed his child) but this orchids(courtney)live off meat...is heartless a carnivore. It kills to feed. It is a very deep song and very metaphorical.
And by the way. You know your right is a mocking ballad to Courtney. Courtney told Kurt to kill himself many times. You know you right is saying he agrees with her. It's sad that it was too late before people caught on too what these lyrics.

interesting to see how people interpret his lyrics:

Nirvana recorded “In Utero,” the band’s third and final studio album, in September 1993. The title of the first single, “Heart-Shaped Box,” was a reference to a gift Cobain had gotten from Love. He wrote this letter to her in his journal.
I think people make his lyrics out to be way more deep than they really are..

Nirvana was WAAAAY overrated. And Cobain wouldn't have the mystique surrounding him if he didn't blow his brains out.

I agree with the idea in the above statement.
Don't get me wrong. I like their first album "Nevermind" very much, even though it wasn't the most sensible writing i'd ever heard or anything. It was the sheer attempt at originality that struck a cord with me. I appreciated that. The music's good too.
