What was your favorite cars of the 90's?
Subject: Re: Favoite cars of the 90's?
My favorite is the 1995 Eagle Talon TSI AWD:

I almost bought one once, but Instead I got a Dodge Neon because the insurance was cheaper. :(

I liked my old white 1992 Geo Prism that I had until 1997. But it was getting too expensive to maintain. The Neon is okay, but it's already been stolen twice. And it looks like a little kid's car so I don't know why anyone would want to steal it. ???

Yah, the trouble with the Neon now is that every kid with 1500 bucks has one, I bought mine in 97 for $10,600 guess I got ripped off. No more Neons next year (Just sxt, srt, acr,rt)
Subject: Re: Favorite cars of the 90's?
I paid over $20,000 on mine, but $6,000 was added because of the balance my trade-in with the Geo. It took me 6 years to pay it off.

That Eagle Talon is a bad machine. I was thinking about buying one the last year they made them in 1998. My dad said it wasn't a good idea because resale value would be terrible.
Subject: Re: Favoite cars of the 90's?
top 5 cars of the 90's: 1.) 95-99 Mitsubishi Eclipse(one of the best styled cars of all time, almost the same as the Talon but a little different Design.) 1st Generation Dodge Viper(This car was on every magazines cover when it came out and its one of the baddest machines ever made.) 1990-1996 Nissan 300Z(This was a good sports car with top of the line styling. Nissan will be bring back the 300Z this year.) 1991-1995 Acura Legend(Probably the best luxury car of the 90's.) 1995-1999 Nissan Maxima)The Maxima is a good car if you want speed, handling, and luxury. The 95-99 Maxima was a great seller and still a very popular car.

I liked Lumina LTZs. I thought I would buy one new when I turned 16, well, I guess not anymore. Someday I could try to find one used.

I see the TSI AWD going for 8-10G's on ebay all the time, not bad for a four year old car. My Neons five years old, and I would be lucky to get $3G for it.

Really 8-10G's? Thats pretty good. I again considered a 3rd generation (2001) Eclipse but they have too many mechanical problems I think for me to own one. The Talon or Eclipse has always been a car I wanted to own but something always keeps me from buying it. Maybe when they come out with the 4th generation Eclipse in 2005 I might consider buying one again.

They better increase the Hp and torque in the 5th generation, or thier going to be in trouble, or the competition is going to look like this:
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII - 276HP
Dodge Razor - 240HP
Acura RSX type S - 200HP
Dodge SRT 4 - 205HP
Volkswagon New Beatle - 180HP
Subaru WRX Sti - 267HP
Mitsubishi Eclipse - 170HP

From a horsepower standpoint yeah maybe it would be a good idea to bring the AWD/Turbo version back. The AWD/Turbo version wasn't a huge seller a few years ago but the way the WRX's are selling Mitsu might want to bring that back. Isn't the SRT a Neon? The RSX and WRX I would be worrying about big time in terms of competition for the Eclipse. THE EVO III I think is going to be a huge seller I think. If I bought the Eclipse I would probably buy the RS or Gs Trim. I'm not a big man on Horsepower but for other young people and car enthusiasts Horsepower is a big thing nowadays. I have already been looking for sketches on the internet for the 2005 Eclipse. I haven't found any yet. Personally I don't like the clear-ons for the 2003 Model. Mitsu has the 2003 Eclipse avaliable already. I undertand the interior is a little improved and other things as well.

1994-1996 Chevrolet Impala SS.
1991-1995 Plymouth Grand Voyager/Dodge Grand Caravan.
1988-present Ford Crown Victoria/Mercury Grand Marquis.
1994-1998 Ford Mustang.
1991-1992 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser.
1990-1993 Chevrolet Lumina APV/Pontiac TranSport/Oldsmobile Silouhette.

I saw some of you mentioning the Neon..I had one back in '95, and like Screwball said, we got ripped off too. ::) I sure loved that car, though!!
I remember just leaving high school and starting work I wanted a Metallic Aqua Geo Storm. I never got one, and after riding in the back seat of a friend's, I'm just as glad I didn't get one!
Course, I guess if it were my car I'd never have to ride back there anyway... ::) But it still made me think!!
Subject: Re: Favoite cars of the 90's?
Hey I have one even better....I got a 1991 Mercury Capri Convertible....white with a black top....thought is was the bomb...til it caught on fire outside a Texaco on me one nite (bad wiring)...dude comes walking in and said..I don't know who is driving the convertible outside...but it is on fire...I handed the clerk an extra 5 for my beer and told her I would take it in gas....might as well add fuel to the flame!!!!
Subject: Re: Favoite cars of the 90's?
The ones that you can get in and drive vroom vroom! :)
Subject: Re: Favoite cars of the 90's?
Still love my '94 Chevy Suburban.
Subject: Re: Favoite cars of the 90's?
My favorite car is the Eclipse. I got one right after graduating from college. However, a lot of my friends in college drove those little Honda Civics and they were pretty popular. I don't see as many of those around anymore. Do you guys remember those, in all different colors?

Yeah I still see Civic's around. I live in New Jersey so there is lots of Civics around. One of the guys at moy job had a Civic and he spent alot of money souping it up. Earlier this year he traded it in for a truck. Like anything else the souped up Civic was a fad but I think the Civic itself will be a top 10 seller in the car market for a long time.
Subject: Re: Favoite cars of the 90's?
I liked the 90-93 Lincoln Towncars. By the way, whatever happened to the Honda Del Sol?
Subject: Re: Favoite cars of the 90's?
The del sol wasn't well recieved, it was basically a "chick" car and only had two seats. It was sporty looking but not enough HP to sell to the boys. It looked decent but not pratical.
