Subject: BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD...
Now, most people were repulsed by "Beavis and Butthead" but I thought it was one of the funniest things to hit the airwaves. I still laugh about some of the stuff I viewed on that 'tasteless, but funny' show.
What is your favorite episodes? It is a toss-up between 'Tainted Meat' where Beavis gets an infection in his privates, "Cornholio", when Beavis eats too much sugar, and "Washing The Dog". I really miss that show. Hey did you know that "King Of The Hill" is also a from Mike Judge?
Peace,
A'isha

I don't know about favorite episode, but my variety video they talked over was called "Sweet Harmony" (I think). Basically it had a male singer with a bunch of nude females posed in the background. Beavis and Butthead were going nuts, and Butthead said, "This is the coolest video I've ever seen." Thought it was funny since they song was a light, slower song, far removed from the heavy metal that they usually raved about.

Uh, they were, like, cool or something. Huh huh huh huh huh. Yeah. They were cool. Heh heh m heh heh. I taped a lot of episodes, but my favorite episode, which I never taped due to the fact that one of the videos in it was changed after the "fire" incident (in which an Ohio woman claimed that Beavis and Butt-Head said that "fire is cool" and caused her five-year-old son to burn down the house, killing his baby brother; and since then, the 7 pm play was moved to later on at night and all the episodes that mention fire were edited) was "Babes R Us," which contained the immortal line, "Diarrhea, cha-cha-cha! Diarrhea, cha-cha-cha! Diarrhea, cha-cha-cha!" The thing I hate about the Beavis & Butt-Head tapes you buy in stores is that most of them have had the music videos taken out of them; and a lot of the best dialogue in the episodes were in the videos! Also, the most recent episodes only have the video at the end, and it's a video that has been used before! The final episode aired the day after Thanksgiving 1997, and the day before, there was a Beavis & Butt-Head special on MTV, and they commented on some videos that were never used on the show, like Fiona Apple's "Criminal."

I liked the "Cornholio" episode where he goes to a coffee/poetry bar and gets up onstage. That and "Cow Tipping" are pretty funny.
I agree that some of the best lines were from the video reviews. Like when Beavis is rapping fast during the "What's Up Doc? (Can We Rock)" video by Shaq (isn't Fu-Schnickens in on that one?) or the dialogue during Siouxsie's "Peek-A-Boo."

I like the episode where they were always eating nachos and Todd comes up to confront them by eating their nachos and drinking the soda and getting the crap beat out of them and they say"uhhh, huhhhh,Todd's cool"!
Or when they were working in the restaurant and they put the nightcrawlers in instead of the french fries and the manager eats one of those and they both start to laugh.A pisser of an episode. -howard- :)

I gotta go with the episode where the two are in the gym along with a trainer. The trainer says to kick him between the legs and butthead does it twice. It was was quite hilarious. Also in the episode, they were lifting weights and neither of them could lift the bar by itself. The two got together and still couldn't lift the bar by itself. Even my dad laughed at that.
Subject: Re: BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD...
I liked any episode that involved their teacher, you know, the dude who seems a little too calm, cool and collected to not be stoned.... Mmmkay.... ;) ;D
Subject: Re: BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD...
I would've liked to have seen them jam something up Todd's *ss and then find out that this so-called tough guy really enjoyed it :o The movie was pretty decent :)

I like later in this episode when Butthead is flexing in front of the bathroom mirror and says, "One more day like this and we'll be totally ripped."

Last night (5/15) Jeopardy! ran a retrospective of their previous 3,999 shows on their 4,000th episode, and it also showed clips from movies and TV shows that had Jeopardy! in them. Alas, no mention of Beavis and Butt-Head. That's because two of my favorite Beavis & Butt-Head episodes involve Jeopardy! In "Beware of the Butt," the episode begins with the boys flipping through the channels and landing on Jeopardy!, where the contestant asks for the $800 clue in the category "Biological Processes." Alex then reads a long clue of which the correct response is "What is the brain?" Butt-Head responds with, "What is the butt, Alex?" In "Carwash," Alex says "Ooh, sorry, we can't accept that. The correct response is, 'What is Outer Mongolia?'" and the boys respond with, "You dumb@$$!" They also say "What is a dumb@$$?"; and another clue refers to the Corvair, of which a 1959 (actually there were no 1959 model Corvairs; the first one came out in 1959 but was a 1960 model) Corvair figures in the episode.

Here's my B & B story: There was a short paper out at our workplace called "The Harrison Horn" (after Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Indiana, which no longer exists). I decided it would be "cool" (huh, huh, huh, huh) to draw Beavis & Butthead with a pen. My caption was "Recommended by Beavis & Butthead". Then I drew Butthead saying: "He said horn. Huh,huh, huh". And Beavis replies, "Yea, yea, horny. Heh, heh, heh, heh." ;D
On another subject, do you remember the "Friends" episode where Chandler & Joey are watching B & B and are laughing just like them? :D :D
Subject: Re: BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD...
Do y'all remember "In The Army Now"? It is the episode where Beavis and Butthead try to join the army.
"We kill more people before 9 am than most countries kill all day..."
"Today's army rocks, we're lookin' for a few good headbangers."
I wish that show would come back. :'(
'This is the coolest thread I have ever seen..." with a lisp of course. :)
Peace,
A

Yeah, Beavis and Butt-head was pretty cool. Did you know there are more B & B Videos in England than there are in America? And yes some of the funnies dialogue was when they critqued music videos. Later tapes have videos in them. What I'd like to know is which episode featured that Metallica video from the album "Live Sh*t; Binge and Purge," where B & B get in this huge slap-fight over the band and out of nowhere, Beavis calls Butt-head's mother a slut.
Anyway, if you like Beavis and Butt-head & Daria fanfics, check out this link;
http://vulcan.spaceports.com/~kem/highlandinvasion.html
It contains a slap-fight like the one I described. It's also a pretty funny piece of fanfiction, IMHO.
Subject: Re: BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD...
My Fav was the one that they banned "Frog Baseball"
Subject: Re: BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD...
I have the 'Frog Baseball' thing on a T-shirt. It is pretty funny.

Didn't care much for "Daria". At least not the one episode where the quarterback dies and everyone blames Daria.

Uh, huh huh, I didn't care too much for Diarrhea, I mean Daria, either. I noticed in the credits for Daria that the name Mike Judge is not mentioned. Wasn't Daria his creation too? You know, like, he created Beavis & Butt-Head and stuff, or something…
Subject: Re: BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD...
I remember a couple of scenes from random episodes. I like the one when they're watching NIN's "March Of The Pigs" and right when the song gets quiet and the line goes "doens't it make you feel better?" Butt-Head shifts to the left and farts. Then there's another episode in which they're watching a video and Butt-Head mimics the male lead singer and sings along with eyes wide open: "With you....with yeeeeeeew..." God! I wish I knew what the name of that song was!
Tarzan Boy
Subject: Re: BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD...
Yeah. Another scene I remember was during a video (I don't remember by whom) where they were comparing the band with "those guys from Hee Haw." So Butt-Head sings the final two lines from that song they always sing on Hee Haw whose chorus begins, "Where, oh where, are you tonight?" as "You met another and (sound of a fart) you were gone"…
Subject: Re: BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD...
What about the one where they weren't allowed to laugh ALL day, and the next lesson was "Sex Education"
All I remember from the entire episode, is Mr. Buzzcut (the gym teacher) saying, "Today, we're gonna be talkin' bout the PENIS.........and the VAGINA.............AND WERE GONNA BE TOUCHIN' ON MASTURBATION"
Class.

No, Daria was created by Glenn Eichler one of the writers on Beavis and Butt-head. Anyway, that was a pretty funny fanfic you showed us, Skuz. A few misspelled words here and there, but otherwise a good laugh. Thanks.
Subject: Re: BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD...
I liked the part where Beavis said:
"I am Cornholio I need some TP for my bunghole".
-howard- ;D
Subject: Re: BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD...
My favorite B&B episode was the one where they have to sell candy bars. And they they only make a dollar from Mr. Anderson. So they just keep using that dollar to buy candy bars from each other! That was classic! But there are a lot more great ones that I cant think of off the top of my head.
Subject: Re: BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD...
A lot of people missed the point of Beavis and Butthead. They were satirical characters, and not meant to be taken seriously.
Subject: Re: BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD...
Huh Huh Huh This show kicks @$$!!!
Yeah Yeah Heh Heh Heh
My favorite episodes were when Beavis & Butt-Head were selling candy bars...to each other, when they were told not to laugh when their teachers said certain words, the second Christmas special (with the paodies of "A Christmas Carlo" & "It's A Wonderful Life"), when Beavis becomes "Cornholio" (A couple of episodes featured "Cornholio" were made), when they were filmed for a documentry, when they washed a dog, they needed to go to the port a potty at a concert, and when they visited Mexico.
Not to forget the segments wheere they watched music videos and talk like "MST3K" did to movies.
This was one of the funniest cartoon in the 1990's.
(Next to "Ren & Stimpy" & "South Park")

I thought it was GREAT!!
Freakin' hilarious. ;D
Subject: Re: BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD...
my favorite episode is when Beavis finally gets fed up with Butthead talking him down and retaliates by kickin him in the...groin
Subject: Re: BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD...
I have an old videotape with a commercial for Beavis and Butthead, when it was coming out. Beavis and Butthead are getting drawn, while laughing, when they are finally animated Butthead says " That was cool!" and then they start laughing again.
Subject: Re: BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD...
I always laughed when they were trying to make peace with Todd and they'd get beat up for it.Like,Todd would snatch Beavis's Nachos and Slurpee and punch both of them in the face. :D ;D

I liked B. & B.. Their "Law Abiding Citizens" tape is hilarious! But I wonder about some things. Okay, these two guys occasionally go to school and occasionally work in a restaurant. How can they afford a house, electricity, etc.? And since they have no parental supervision, how have they escaped the watchful eye of the Division Of Family Services? (Of course, we've all heard about the failures of DFS departments around the country.) Great show, though.
Subject: Re: BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD...
I just saw the ad for the DVD, and I laughted so hard at the parody of Star Trek The Next Generation where Butthead says to Beavis, Number one, I order you to go take a number 2! ;D ;D ;D
Subject: Re: BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD...
How about the episode when they're eating those dirty, slimy nightcrawlers? :P ;D

Subject: Re: BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD...
Another good one (I cant remember the episode title) is where they are in school, and the teacher asks Bevis to do a Haiku, and Beavis does his usual heh heh heh... and gets it right! :P

Subject: From Beavis to Metallica
Beavis and Butthead introduced me to Metallica!
Around the time when they were popular, the only kind of music that I listened to was HipHop & R+B, I didn't care about heavy metal. Well as I was watching a BB episode, I wondered who Metallica was and why they made such a big deal about them. I haven't looked back since.
And who says Beavis & Butthead wasn't an educational cartoon? Without them I wouldn't have known Shiite about Rock.
