Rock, Punk, Metal, etc. Post your favourites!
Here is one of my favourite songs of the 80s. In 1985, British Hard Rock band Magnum released their 5th album titled On A Storyteller's Night and the single Just Like An Arrow peaked at #83 in the UK, giving them technically their first chart single (their first chart appearance was in 1980 as part of an EP). This song is a fantastic and I never get bored hearing it!

In 1985, Phil Lynott, the lead singer of Thin Lizzy, teamed up with fellow Irish singer/guitarist Gary Moore for the fantastic song Out in the Fields. It peaked at #5 in the UK and was the final Top 40 hit for Lynott before his passing in January of 1986. The end of this song features a neat interpolation of the American civil war anthem When Johnny Comes Marching Home

Headpins is a band from Vancouver formed by bassist Ab Bryant and the late guitarist Brian MacLeod as a side project to their band Chilliwack. In 1982, their debut single Don't It Make Ya Feel peaked at #14 in Canada, and the resulting album Turn it Loud was eventually certified double platinum (200,000 copies sold in Canada) peaking at #7. This success didn't emulate outside of Canada however, where the album went largely ignored. In a time when rock and metal was mostly male dominated, it was a nice change to have a female singer! Crank this one loud!
