Here is a 1982 cover of Eye of the Tiger by Nighthawk.  I stumbled upon this tune many years ago when I found the 12" vinyl single in a thrift store, and being a massive record collector, I had to get it and it turned out to be pretty good!  I don't know where this charted, or much about this band, but I feel like this version should have been Apollo Creed's theme.  Who says Rocky only had the Eye of the Tiger?

R&B with a Funk beat!  This is a 1982 single called Just An Illusion by the British trio Imagination and it peaked at #2 in the UK and #15 on the US Dance Chart.  Funk is all about that bassline, and boy is it here!  I've talked about this song before because it is a song that I cannot live without!  I first heard it in the 1986 movie F/X when I first saw it back in the 90s on VHS and I've been a fan ever since!
