Some interesting facts:
- Into the Groove was featured in the 1985 film Desperately Seeking Susan and was a single only release in countries where it was released as that film had no soundtrack release. In the US and Canada, it appears as the B-Side to Angel and peaked at #1 in the US Dance club chart as an unofficial AA-Side and despite not being released as a single, a video featuring clips from the film was played a lot on MTV (US) and MuchMusic (Canada)
- Live to Tell was composed for the 1986 film Fire With Fire, but was rejected by Paramount Pictures, so Madonna recorded it for the 1986 film At Close Range, which starred her then husband Sean Penn. Because that film had no soundtrack release, the song became the lead single to her 3rd album True Blue

She had so many great songs, I wish I could rank them all equally, but I do love Borderline so much that I would probably rank it in my Top 100 all time favourite songs of any decade!
The single version (on the left) differs from the album version (right), so I get to enjoy this song two ways. That's a win!

I happen to like the early Madonna songs from 1982-1989.

In my 80's clubbing days I'd hear a lot of these on the dance floor.
There are several I like. I voted for "Dress You Up" because I especially loved dancing to it. But I liked a lot of them.

BTW, Madonna also sang Gambler & Crazy For You in the movie Vision Quest.
There are a few songs of hers that I love: Into the Groove, Like a Prayer, Material Girl, & Live To Tell. But, my favorite HAS to be:
La Isla Bonita.
That was Carlos & mine first dance at our wedding. (Once Upon a December was our second.)

I like several of them. Hard to select just one.
I also liked several of her 1990s hits, so when I composed a poll for those back in 2006, I decided to allow multiple selections.
With regards to Borderline...
The single version (on the left) differs from the album version (right), so I get to enjoy this song two ways. That's a win!
Yeah, they cut out a number of lines (such as "Keep on pushing me baby, don't you know you drive me crazy") in the album version (which is ~5 minutes long), which I have occasionally heard on the radio. But most radio stations play the shorter one.
