What is your favorite Christmas movie of the 80's? Mine is A Christmas Story (which is also my all time favorite with Home Alone not far behind) followed by Christmas Vacation.

"Santa Claus The Movie" for me. Remember going to the cinema to see that as a 9 yr old. I thought the actor David Huddleston was the best representation of Santa - real good casting.

My favorite is the 1984 version of "A Christmas Carol" starring George C. Scott as Ebenezer Scrooge. I take a chance by saying it just may be the best of all the many movie versions of that Dickens story. (Though I also partial to the early 60s version starring Quincy Magoo). The 1984 version also features Edward Woodward who played "The Equalizer" in that classic 80s TV series, as the ghost of Christmas present.

Is "The Snowman" that animated film with no dialogue? I do like that. The animation is beautiful. And it has heart, something so rare in such things today.
