Went through my itunes. So many good songs that I'm doing a Top 15! Some came from 1986 albums but weren't released til 87 and some were from 87 albums but didn't get airplay til 88. But here goes...
1. You Should Have Waited - Five Star
2. I Wanna Dance With Somebody - Whitney Houston
3. Make It Real - The Jets
4. Angel Eyes - Wet Wet Wet
5. Always - Atlantic Starr
6. Big Fun - Gap Band
7. Michael Jackson - I Just Can't Stop Loving You
8. Criticize - Alexander O'Neal
9. You Win Again - Bee Gees
10. Shake You Down - Gregory
11. Surrender - Gloria Estefan
12. Breakout - Swing Out Sister
13. Who's That Girl - Madonna
14. Lean On Me - Club Nouveau
15. So Emotional - Whitney Houston
Bangles would've got in there but wiki is saying it was released 1986, despite selling more singles in 1987.

1987 was a good year for music, especially in the Spring.
Here are 11, and they're in no order, just the ones I like tonight.
These were also all from 1987 where I live.
Same Ole Love - Anita Baker
Don't Shed a Tear - Paul Carrack
Why Should I Cry? - Nona Hendryx
Don't Dream It's Over - Crowded House
Touch Of Grey - Grateful Dead
Let's Wait Awhile - Janet Jackson (or Pleasure Principle)
She (I Can't Resist)- Jesse Johnson
Something About You - Level 42
Criticize - Alexander O'Neal
Twilight World - Swing Out Sister (Breakout is another one)
The Weekend - Steve Wariner
