1987 isn't really my favourite 80s year for music, but I suppose this would be my top 10 out of what I've heard...

4. Michael Jackson - Bad
5. George Michael - Faith

5. George Michael - Faith
7. Belinda Carlisle - Heaven on Earth
I consider any great album an album with at least 3 killer songs. Belinda Carlisle and George Michael definitely ticked that box with their albums. I should have given them both honourable mentions lol.

You're right - a lot of 1986 albums had more popularity in 1987. It's hard to gauge as it's so long ago now lol. Huey Lewis' "Stuck With You" reminds me of school bus journeys in 86/87.

I don't know if I could pick 10 favourites so easily, but one of my most favourites was the self-titled album by Dan Hill. Though it was self-titled, it was actually his 8th album.

It produced 3 Top 40 hits in Canada, and became a comeback for him in the US when the single Can't We Try became his first Top 40 hit there since Sometimes When We Touch in 1978

Up until 1996, he was still charting singles in Canada. In fact, he had more Top 40 hits in the 90s than he did during any other decade. He put out a greatest hits album in 1999 and has kept moderately quiet ever since

Several in Canada, I am sure. I know he made an appearance on The Tonight Show in 1987 to perform Can't We Try
