It looks more like something that came out of Japan. How come kids from the 80s didn't have this Teddy Ruxpin?

He has LED eyes now so he has been updated to today's technological standards.

I am not familiar with this toy, but I did look up what it looked like before. This newer version is very different and looks more like a robot.

At least that makes him less creepy to kids.

Numerous re-releases/anniversary editions of classic '80s albums have been reissued during the past decade, often with new songs and/or different liner notes. This can also be true with other eras as well. Among them were Michael Jackson's 25th Anniversary release of Thriller, Whitney Houston's Deluxe 25th Anniversary Edition, Peter Gabriel's 25th Anniversary Edition of So, the 25th Anniversary edition of the Chariots of Fire soundtrack, the 20th Anniversary release of Dirty Dancing, and many more.

Aw, it's a lot smaller. But I'm wondering if it has the same voice interaction technology...I'm too lazy to read the article, haha.

Liner notes are why CD's are better than digital downloads, lol. If you have the originals and re-releases/anniversary editions which version do you prefer?

That is so cool. I wish I would have had one.

It still talks but uses a built in hard drive instead of cassette tapes.

I'm considering it doesn't have a casette tape, since no kid today would actually recognize it. Like what Starlighter, it might have a hard drive that had pre-recorded voices inside it.

Teddy Ruxpin doubles as a '90s item. They were all but gone by the turn of the '90s, IIRC.

Barely anybody bought a Teddy Ruxpin in the 90s. Especially when they had Furbies during the late 90s.

Teddy Ruxpin and My Buddy were long gone from toy stores by the late '90s.

Yeah. That's what I'm saying. Teddy Ruxpin wasn't around at all during the late 90s.
