The Chameleons (UK) are/were fantastic! Their 1983 debut 'Script of the Bridge' was an absolute masterpiece. They had no success in North America. I only knew about them after the fact through a 1984 promotional compilation from Sam the Record Man called "Sam's Sampler" that I found at a thrift shop in the mid 90s. It had this on it ...
