Suspenders must have been a big deal back then. I've seen a lot of 80's movies with characters wearing them.

I don't think I wore them a lot in the '80s, but I do remember wearing suspenders the day I had my first grade school picture taken in 1987. It was a cute outfit: blue pants, white blouse with different colored palm trees, and over the blouse I wore brown suspenders....it was cute! But, I was only 6 or 7 lol, so of course it was cute.

Never wore suspenders. I'd say most of my friends never wore them either. I can only think of one friend who wore them. I had 2 co-workers (in the 1980s) who wore suspenders, and it stuck out coz no one I knew wore them.
