Hey Y’all,
I’m hoping someone could help me. In my novel I’m planning a big beauty make over for the girls in my story when in dawned on me: I don’t know what was used on the face for full make up. This was the age when “primer” went on walls before paint. What u want to know is, what was used before all the neon went on--concealer, base, foundation, etc?

I used concealer and foundation and then powder. with powder blusher after that. Some people also used highlighter on their cheekbones.

I was too young to wear make up in the '80s, but back then I remember my mother using lots of foundation and powder. And then she would use all the colors, such as blush and eye shadow.

I used to have a lot of fun playing with my mom's make up and using different shades of pink and blue eye shadow. Of course I was a little girl. :)
