Subject: Radio Ad for Turkey Ham possibly Foster Farms...
Written By: Moisha_Ramone on 09/23/13 at 11:02 pm
I'm looking for a recording of a radio ad for Turkey ham that ran in the spring of 1983.
Here's an approximation of the script:
<Phone rings>
<Sound of answering>
College Boy with Jewish accent: Oh Hi Ma!
<Sound of voice in back ground>
No Ma, I'm doing fine here at college.
<Sound of voice>
No Ma, I'm getting plenty to eat.
<voice>
No Ma, I'm just having a ham sandwich now.
<Loud wail of distress through distortion of phone line>
<Boy equally distressed raises voice in attempt to calm mother>
Ma! Ma! Really! It's (Foster Farms??) Turkey Ham!
<Panic slightly reduced, scream stops but now there is heavy breathing verging on sobbing>
It's made of 100% organically grown free range turkey!
<Panic slowly decreases and mother is very gradually calmed as son sings praises of turkey ham>
<Son's voice slowly comes down as mother is calmed>
They're raised on a diet of organic meal and it's full of vitamins and minerals.
It's got 100% of the recommended daily allowance of protein in every 24 ounce serving.
It's completely Kosher too!
<Mother is now breathing a little heavily but it's clear she's just dabbing her tears and is now on the road to calm>
<finally with not of confident success in his voice, son says>
And, it tastes just like the real thing!
<Mother returns to full throated wail of despair>
<Fade to announcer>
Foster Farms Turkey ham, blah blah blah, available in fine supermarkets everywhere.
If you have a copy of this could you post it on youTube and send a link, or tell me where I can find the recording?
Thanks!
