One of my favorite albums of the 80s is this:

What were you favorite albums from the 80s?

One of my favourite 80s albums was not just 1 album, but an album series that came in a trilogy: They were called Can't Stop Dancin' and were non stop dance mix albums released in Canada by CBS Direct and were based on popular dance songs that were played on the Montreal radio station CKMF 94. Generally I don't like to include various artists collections among favourite album lists, but these were so well done, I am still a BIG fan. I have the first 2 volumes on Vinyl, and all three on cassette and they sit proudly in my collection!

Released in 1984, this is Steeltown, the 2nd album (and my favourite) from Big Country. It features the hits East of Eden, Where the Rose is Sown and Just A Shadow. Also features a song called Flame of the West which I still think should have been a single. I have this album on Vinyl, CD and Cassette. The Remastered CD version contains an extended version of their hit Wonderland, a song that was previously only available on EP
Where the Rose is Sown is my favourite song from them.

Did you like all of the songs on that album or just Electric Avenue?

1982 was maybe the worst year in the 1980s for music, so many terrible songs in the top 40. Didn't like much that year. Toto IV was OK..this album was alright.

I really can't agree with warped there, if anything the worst year was 1980, when punk was barely breathing and disco refused to go quietly. Frankly, I think 1982 is when the 80's sound truly came into its own.

The greatest Billy Joel album ever IMO.
Interesting story: When his record label decided to release his 1985 collection "Greatest Hits Volume I and II", the Innocent Man album was still popular, which is why the tracks "Keeping the Faith" and "An Innocent Man" do not appear on that collection, but do appear on the 1997 release "Greatest Hits Volume III"

To me, in order to consider an album a true favourite, you have to enjoy more than just the hits, and you also own said album. Like every album I have posted in here so far, here are 3 more that I really enjoy ...
