Well, you are "down under" so you see things upside down compared to me.  ;D

Modern Love was #1 for me.  Loved that song ever since I can remember

Did you know Peace on Earth / Little Drummer Boy was originally recorded in 1977 for a Christmas TV special?  At the time, Bing had no idea who David Bowie was, so he was schooled by his daughter Mary (you mean that girl who shot J.R.?)
Bing died a few months after they recorded it.  Apparently when RCA decided to issue it as a single in 1982, Bowie was not happy and left.  The following year, he released the Let's Dance album on EMI America (a division of Capitol Records) and it became the biggest hit of his career

I love a bunch of these, but my favorite is Cat People!

Accch!  I'm flummoxed!  You're asking me to decide? Just one?  Ummmm.... Just one?
???

Well, okay, "Ashes to Ashes" by a nose.  I'd go with "China Girl," but it Iggy Pop wrote it, so it's not entirely David.

Then:

China Girl
Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps)
Let's Dance
Modern Love
Fashion
Absolute Beginners
Cat People

Bowie in the '70s was way much better, but I went with 1983's "Modern Love".

"Ashes To Ashes" would have been my second pick, or "Under Pressure" if that one counts here.

Never cared much for Modern Love. :-\\

My favorite is Absolute Beginners, although it's a tough choice!
