Subject: Need help remembering 80's song - one semi-hit wonder teen boy

OK, folks. I like to think I'm extremely well-versed in eighties music, but I've lost a song from my eighties vocabulary, and I'm hoping you can help me retrieve it.
This was a mid-eighties song, sung by a male teenager. It was written for his girlfriend, and it was a sweet, sappy love song. Not a cool song, but I liked it. I believe, but am not 100% sure, that the singer was American. It was a minor hit in the U.S. in the mid-eighties.
Sorry I don't have more to go on, but any suggestions are welcome!

never mind got my lazy ass on the computer!
About a year ago I was made aware of the controversy behind the song... I never really thought about it... I sort of thought he was singing from the point of view of a teen boy.... but I just found this video ...never ever saw it before today... um...yeah now I kind of get why people were pissed... dude comes off seriously creepy in the video....

He actually had 7 hits. His biggest hit was a Bobby Brown duet in 1990 called She Ain't Worth It that topped the US chart

"Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You" was a huge no 1 hit in the UK. Glenn Medeiros was pretty cheesy even for the 80s. Saying that, I kinda liked that other song that Howard posted.
Personally, his best effort was a duet with The Jets in 1989 called "Under Any Moon".

I only remember him from his 1 hit in 1987.
