Subject: Help with Thompson Twins song
Written By: Stinkyy on 05/31/12 at 9:06 pm
Hey everyone,
I heard a song or remix of a song in a bar that sounds like Thompson Twins, but not sure.. looking for a little help.
The bass (guitar) is addictive and pretty much the memorable part of the song. Ba-da DUM! Ba-da DUM! Ba-da dahhh dah dum.
The chorus is something about
Love
Love on your side
THEN, in the middle all of a sudden, and this is the biggest clue, they play a little synth fanfare to the main chorus of T.T.'s "In the Name of Love." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsbBEfjyQT8&feature=player_detailpage#t=52s
Then it's back to the bass line over and over.
???
Free soda for the winner... thank you guys.

That song would be 'Love on Your Side' by Thompson Twins. It is from their 1983 album Quickstep and Sidekick (released as Sidekicks in North America).
Chart Positions:
UK #9
US #45
CANADA #47

Thanks, Whistledog. I'm slipping and must be due for an '80s sabbatical. Think I'll liurk around more as a start.
