On an old message board I used to frequent, they had a topic like this, so I thought i'd do something similar, but add a section for 80s songs that come back as covers by other artists.
Erasure have a new album out called 'Tomorrow's World'.

It has entered the US chart at #67, making it Erasure's first album to chart in the 100 section of the Billboard Top 200 album chart since 'Cowboy' in 1997. The album's lead single is called 'When I Start to (Break it All Down)'

Like cover songs? An English electronic duo by the name of Nero has released a very cool version of the 1986 Jets classic 'Crush on You'.

It may not be to everyone's liking, but I quite enjoy it. It entered the UK chart at #46 and rose to a peak of #32, making it a rare instance of a song to rise up the UK chart from it's entry position (you folks from the UK know what I am talking about)

It came out earlier this year, but if you have not listened to Devo's first new album in 20 years, go get Something For Everybody. If you are or ever were a Devo fan, it is totally worth it.

The new Devo album is quite good. The new Cars album is pretty good too.

Don't know if this topic includes newer bands that sound like the 80's but here's one that I am REALLY liking right now. The artist is "M83". It even has the 80's-required sax solo at the end! :)

I heard yesterday that Ultravox are releasing a new album in May this year.

I saw him/them live and hearing that sax was one of the highest musical moments of my entire life.
