Epic songs....that's a tough one... :-\\
There are a lot of good 80's tunes ... but I'll just list the ones I thought were 'epic'. For example The Stones 'Start Me Up' and The Pretenders 'Brass In Pocket' were top notch songs...but maybe not epic! :-\\ Maybe 'anthem' is a better descriptive?
Love Is A Battlefield - Pat Benetar
Bad Medicine - Bon Jovi
Livin' On a Prayer - Bon Jovi
You Shook Me All Night Long - ACDC
Would I Lie To You - Eurythmics
Born In the USA - Bruce Springsteen
I Want To Know What Love IS - Foreigner
Billie Jean - Michael Jackson
Don't Stop Believing - Journey
With or Without You - U2
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Cyndi Lauper
Jessie's Girl - Rick Springfield
Our Lips Are Sealed - Go Go's
What I Like About You - Romantics
Take On Me - Aha
Under Pressure - Queen & Bowie
Janie's Got A Gun - Aerosmith
Love Shack - B-52s
You Spin Me Around - Dead or Alive
Mickey - Toni Basil
All Night Long - Lionel Richie
Working for the Week-end - Loverboy

Sorry, Peter, but those three are definitely on my Banned For Life list. :D My upstairs neighbor is HUGE fan of both bands, so I'm kinda fed up with having to hear him play those songs over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. And over again. ::)

I don't know if I'd class it as epic. :-\\ Good song though... Dexy's Midnight Runners "Come on Eileen" is indicative of the 80's as well.

Only songs that are on this record label:

It's '90s, but the label had the same design in the '80s.

^ In that case, the first 3 albums by Dead or Alive, and the U.S. version of 'Colour By Numbers' by Culture Club (In Canada/UK, it was released on Virgin Records)

Epic '80s songs?
When I think of something being epic, I guess, Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and
Michael Jackson's "Thriller" would work.
And what helps those songs were the epic videos that went with them.
I'd also include these too...
The Alan Parsons Project's "Time",
Black Sabbath and Ronnie James Dio's "Heaven and Hell",
Stevie Wonder's "Overjoyed",
Tears for Fears's "Sowing the Seeds of Love",
Kate Bush's "Running up That Hill (A Deal With God)".
