Subject: Can You Spot The 80's Movie References?
Written By: gumbypiz on 02/18/11 at 1:16 am
This is a video directed by Topher Grace formally of "That 70's Show" and currently of the 80's flashback flick "Take Me Home Tonight" (no, I'm not plugging it and I think the movie is rather lame, I never liked Eddie Money or the song, and don't think we need another "wild night out" 80's movie).
But..
The video is of a cover of the well known "Don't You Want Me Baby" track by The Human League covered by Atomic Tom.
Now, I'm not a fan of this cover, but I thought the frequent 80's movie references touched upon by the video are great.
Topher Grace does a dead on impersonation of Marty McFly in the vid along with some other great 80's films, check it out...its worth the watch.
Can you identify the 39 80's movie references in this video? ;)

That was pretty good.
Are we gonna list the ones we see here?
A few I caught were:
The guy wearing the Michael Jackson red leather jacket
The other guy imitating the alien bursting from his stomach in homage to Aliens
Topher raising the boom box like John Cussack in "Say anything"
The girl crawling on the floor like Jennifer Grey in Dirty Dancing.

How did you guys miss "Caddyshack", "Cocktail" or "Weekend At Bernie's"?
And the gal taking off her bikini? "FAST TIMES"!
Your Pal,
Doc
;)
P.S.: Never use your proton pack nozzle for a microphone. One slip and you just might cross the streams! :D

And you're right. The guy with the shampoo mohawk singing into a showerhead came right out of FB. What a mess!
