I have been trying to track down a movie I believe is from the 80's. If I remember right the creatures were small (maybe 3 feet high) and if you cut them up the parts would grow a new creature. Their only weakness was electricity (I think), and that would turn them to stone.
It's probably a terrible movie, but I saw it as a kid and want to check it out now. Any help would be greatly appreciated since this has been bugging me for about a year now.

I wouldn't call The Gate a terrible movie, I kind of liked it!

Oh, I think "The Gate" is an awesome movie. It's just that the majority of his description sounded like that movie.

I recently saw the sequel for the first time a couple of months ago. Meh. Anyway, Mike, if the movie you're talking about isn't "The Gate," could it be "Munchies?"

I am pretty certain that the film, is The Gate, and not Munchies.
