So I am looking for a movie  :-X similar to Dangerous Liasions as far as the costumes and theme, but its not that movie.....Its possible that I am thinking of 2 movies actually. There are 3 scenes I remember.

1. A prince or some important person is doing something the other 'authorities' dont approve of, but instead of punishing him they beat this peasant girl in his place, but then they hook up somehow? This might be a separate movie.

2. I remember a scene where this upper class guy is 'advising' this girl on how to write such and such letter, and he is telling her what to write as he is trying to seduce her.

3. Another scene I remember is some redhead girl in a bathhouse and some guy storms in and there is an argument.


I am 70% sure they all came from the same movie.

It's either Cruel Intentions, and if I not mistaken it was released in 1998 or 1998, or Valmont.

It might also be 'Barry Lyndon' (a period piece made in the 70's) ...starred Ryan O'Neal and Marissa Berensen... :-\\

As someone already said, it's probably Valmont from 1989.
