Other: Eddie and the Players, Space Invaders, an obscure little bit of genius that aired on Dr. Demento a couple of years after the game's popularity had peaked.
I grew up to Trader Vic's track ("Well, there it is in the corner of the bar...").
I loved Player One's track ("They're closing in on me
dark forces cold and unseen...") and I'lll bet you didn't know there was an album!)
I'll even do The Pretenders' Space Invader in a pinch.
(And that's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Space invaders songs!)
But Eddie and the Players' version was the Space Invaders song you didn't hear about. I just dug out my old cassette of it, and here's my take on the lyrics.

Joe Jackson, "Steppin'Out", "Is She Really Going Out With Him?"

What about "Breaking Us In Two"? Also, I thought "Is She really going..." was from a much earlier album of his. ???

One song I still really love from 1982 is 'Homosapien' by Pete Shelley. I still remember the video for it, was the first time I ever saw a Commodore PET computer LOL
