In honor of the film's anniversary, a really big celebration, is taking place, in Astoria, Oregon, where the movie was filmed, and it sounds awesome!

I would go there, but a airplane ticket, from Toronto to Oregon, would be kind of pricey!

That's nice, but why the 25th? They should have just waited five more years (2015) it would be 30.

One of the last movies I watched at the old CineArts theater, in '85 it was still owned by Century Theaters...
I don't know about the Goonies. It was great back then but it's hard to watch now. The humor makes me cringe...

They may do one then too. They did one for the 20th.
Usually 20th and 25th anniversarys are more common to have a big celebration for.
I'd love to go to this one. We'll see. :)

Happy 25th Anniversary to The Goonies! Anytime I watch this movie it makes me feel like a kid again. Love it! :)

Come to think of, it's the 25th anniversary of my first wine cooler makeout session.
