Last week, I finally brought the one thing that had elluded me, since the 80's, my very own Trapper Kepper.

It was bright orange, and cost me five dollars, to buy it.

Oh...I would have guessed it was like a 'bug catcher' .... where you trap the bug and then keep it in an observation chamber.

My daughter nearly had a melt-down in Staples (office/stationery supply store) because they didn't have the colour of trapper keeper she wanted.  Luckily I found some elsewhere in the store.

In the eighties I believe they often had pictures of popular characters like Ghostbusters, A-Team, etc.

I use to... Oh wait, I do have one, I think it's one.

I still have the one I used in junior high and the one my mother once used in the early 80s.  They're both stored away somewhere. 

I think I had a Trapper Keeper in '89. It was in pastels: purple with pink shells all over it.

I had a unicorn one, oh great now I have to go find it.

I had one in '87, a pretty green/forrest-y one with a white waterfall picture on it.  I adored it because it stored practically my whole life (which admittedly was alot like my life now (billions of pieces of random paper))

I doubt I still have mine, my mom gave everything I owned (prior to marriage) away.  That'll teach me to leave stuff there.  ;D

Yeah, I had one.  The guys used to razz me about it, but then again, they used to razz me about everything.  Then I discovered weird music and orange Mohawks.

Yes, they were "in" back then; I might have had one during one of my elementary school years, but I cannot remember specifically which year.

I also wondered if it was something to catch a bug in.

My dapper deeper had a race car on it.

I remember them but never had one growing up. We use to get other binders and things that were less expensive lol. School supplies back in the day were pricey and we were kinda poor. Thankfully my folks always got us the latest playthings and toys. But when it came down to school supplies and Trapper Keepers, forget it! Lol.

I wonder how much they're selling it online for? ???
