Subject: Song??
Written By: star500 on 10/14/09 at 11:11 pm
I heard this song on the radio the other day. I don't know who sings it, ??? but the words go:
And I'll give you love...
And I'll you my lovin'...
And I know in our hearts we'll see...
We don't have to be one or the other...
It sounded like a duet. Much thanks in advance to anyone who knows what I am talking about! :)

Or Bpth to Each Other (Friends and Lovers)
Eddie Rabbit & Juice Newton
Lyrics
What would you think if I told you
I've always wanted to hold you?
I don't know what we're afraid of
Nothing would change if we made love.
Chorus:
So I'll be your friend
And I'll be your lover
'Cause I know in our hearts we agree
We don't have to be one or the other
Oh, no, we could be both to each other.
Yes it's a chance that we're taking
And somebody's heart may be breaking
Oooh, but we can't stop what's inside us
Our love for each other will guide us.
So I'll be your friend
And I'll be your lover
'Cause I know in our hearts we agree
We don't have to be one or the other
I've been through you
You've been through me
Sometimes a friend is the hardest to see
And we always know when it's laid on the line
Nobody else is as easy to find
So I'll be your friend
(I'll be)
And I'll be your lover
Cause I'll be your friend
(I'll be)
And I'll be your lover
'Cause I know in our hearts we agree
We don't have to be one or the other
Oh, no, we could be both to each other

Hmmm...I hate it when you're right! Recorded first by Loring ...but still released after Newton...
The song was first recorded as a duet by Gloria Loring and Carl Anderson in 1985. That recording remained unreleased until the summer of 1986, when it was released shortly after a version by Juice Newton and Eddie Rabbitt hit country radio. The country version featured the altered title of "Both to Each Other (Friends and Lovers)".
