I never did, but always wanted to as I do like John Lithgow.
I never saw 2001: A Space Odyssey either :-\\

Anyone seen this film, at all?
I saw both 2001 A Space Odyssey and 2010. I actually saw 2010 in a movie theater just after it was released.

Strangely enough, I saw 2010 *before* I saw 2001. At the time of the former's release, I though it was cool flick but I'm sure I would have understood the storyline much better if I had read the book first. I eventually caught 2001 and found it to be a much better, if more challenging movie in comparison.
I also read both books in middle school and still like Arthur C. Clarke's stuff. However, his anti-religion tangents can be a bit longwinded for my tastes.
