David Addison & Maddie Hayes

Mark McCormick wasn't a P.I. He was a car thief who struck a deal with a judge Hardcastle to help catch criminals in order to avoid jail time. You also forgot 'Hart to Hart' in the Poll :P
I liked David and Maddie the best. The way they always made reference to the fact that they were on a TV show was great!
I gots all three seasons of both 'Hardcastle & McCormick' and 'Riptide' and love them! 8)

I never watched hardcastle & McCormick. But I figured since they caught crooks and weren't cops I could sneak them in.
I snuck hart to hart in on my 70s poll.

I am a fan of Spenser, well of course the biggest attraction is his friend Hawk

I snuck hart to hart in on my 70s poll.
But of the show's 110 episodes, only 11 of those aired in the 70s :P

I voted for David Addison. Bruce Willis was really funny on the show.

We used to watch Magnum, P.I., every Thursday. Simon & Simon was optional, but Magnum was a habit!

Looking back at the list, Jessica Fletcher would've given them all a run for their money! ;)
And let's not forget the silver fox himself - Edward Woodward aka The Equalizer.

Wow, remember all those fun detective shows from the 80s? I practically grew up on them! Why aren't there shows like that, anymore?
"Simon and Simon"... "Remington Steele"... "Matlock".... I was a fan of so many of them, it's hard to pick just one! But I'm going to say Magnum cause he was just so cool and stylish!

Dang. It looks like I'm skipping this one.
I didn't care for any detective/police shows in the '80s.

Is he more of an attorney than a detective? That aside, I vote for Magnum if I can't vote for Rockford.
