Subject: Movie title?

Please help me find the title of a movie. I think this was a mid 80's movie and I watched it on HBO so I am not sure if it was ever in the theaters or not. All I remember is a hot guy trying to make it as a singer and just as he hits is big he finds out about a son he never knew he had. The boy is about 12 and was in military school until his mom dies. I think the title has the word Night in it? Please help :)

I found my own answer :) It is called "Blame It On The Night" if anyone else it interested!
