i have given up on new movies altogether! EITHER THEY REMAKE A GOOD MOVIE AND RUIN IT or they come up with garbage that should never have been done! pathetic!

I shall do no such thing. But yeah, FoTN is one of those movies that can't be remade.
The movie was so damn cool because it came from the era when CGI was new technology, and rendering CGI objects in chrome (against real-world backdrops) was something that had only been done in technology demonstrations and doctoral-level computer science papers. Unless the remake involves every ticketholder being given a real-life chrome spaceship, it's not gonna have anywhere near the "wow" factor that the original did.

It is now officially getting way out of hand. GI Joe, Thundercats, 90210, V, Knight Rider, Alvin & Chipmunks, Bionic Woman, Footloose, Smurfs, Charlie's Angels, Strawberry Shortcake, Battlestar Gallactica... when will it STOP?!
I also hate doing an ebay search for retro things and getting their crappy 00s remakes flooding the listings!

They seem to have lost the art of movie making. It appears to be geared towards quantity and filling all those megaplex type multi theatres.... Forget a good script...just remake an older movie...throw in some special effects and the public will pay to see it. WRONG!

This is one of my favorite Disney movies. Ugh..please don't tell me that they are gonna fill the part of David with someone like Zac Efron ::) 8-P
