Sorry, but I'd rather stick pins in my eye.  Howard The Duck is one of the worst movies ever made, and one of the biggest disappointments ever...saved only by Caddyshack II.

A friend of mine saw this movie when it was in the theaters and he told me I had to see it, because "it's so funny it will knock your socks off".  :P I finally saw it about five years later on TV, and I didn't think there was anything funny about it at all. Awful movie!  8-P

I mean paid for a ticket and popcorn and soda and all? I don't know ANYONE that saw this in theatres. I caught it on cable.  8-P It has it's moments. I laughed until I almost puked when the woman found the TINY contraceptive in Howard's wallet. LOL.

Great.  This can sit on the shelf right next to Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band, Battlefield Earth, Rollerball (2002), The Bad Pack, and a lot of other movies in my collection that I knew were bad when I bought them.

Now, if I can only find a DVD copy of Ishtar, my collection would be complete.  8)

Strange as it may sound, Ishtar has never been released in the US on DVD.  However, it is available in Region 2 (Western and Central Europe; Western Asia; Egypt, Japan, South Africa, Swaziland; United Kingdom, and Turkey).

Maybe the European audience is able to recognize something in this move that us uncultured Americans did not see.

I am tempted to see this movie again.  It has been years and I remember not liking it at all.

But I tend to enjoy dumb movies.  I wouldn't buy the DVD or rent it though.

I saw it in the theater but I don't think I paid for it. It came out in 86- I used to work at a movie theater and while I don't think I worked at the theater when the film came out I still had friends there and I was still getting into the movies for free... or I'd buy a ticket and hop theaters because I thought 2.75 was too much to pay for one movie  ;D

"Howard - The Duck" has been out on DVD for years, I bought it almost ten years ago, still got the soundtrack too, on vinyl

I think 'Howard the Duck' is the only MARVEL movie that Stan Lee is NOT in.  He probably wanted it that way because he knew it was going to suck LOL

If anything, I thought it was a cute film.  Of course, having said that, the last time I saw the movie was actually in the theatres back in 1986 LOL

HALLEUJAH!!!!!!  I love this movie.  I saw this in the 80s. 

Actually, it's avialable now, in non bootleg form.

Got my copy, last week.
