Subject: Toy identification help please

Hey
I've been trying, without success, to identify a range of toys from the 80's. It was a race of sentient robots in a post apocalyptic earth who had memories of mankind. The toys were plastic robots with little golden human figures in some of them. Rather sketchy I know :-[

I'm leaning more towards saying "Micronauts" because Gobots are a different thing all together.
