The best part about it is they said it would be set in China. Karate is a martial art form from Japan. ::)

isn't Jaden too young to play the Karate Kid? I mean he's only like 8 that means they will be appealing to the younger set ugh!
and remaking Footloose, Short Circuit, and Red Dawn! :o The only movie they mentioned that might be better than the original is The Last Starfighter.
and as for remaking the Last Dragon I say it can't be done... what's next remaking Rocky Horror Picture Show or Last Frankenstein... cult classics should not be touched!

my first instinct is to groan and say "puhleeze" but I'm somewhat interested in this and I like the idea of Will Smith's son playing the K-kid. I think it's got potential :)

I didn't say I wouldn't watch it... ;D
I just wish- instead of trying to redo the original they make their own version for a younger crowd... or give me a frickin K-Kid 5 and have Ralph Macchio cameo as the "new" Miagi. and have Billy Z in the Martin Kove role as the instructor for the Cobra Kai. Now that's a movie I'd go see!
