I have a bunch of Time Bandits songs and am organizing them in itunes.  I would like to know which albums were released by year and which songs are on the albums.

I am having a hard time finding a good discography.  I keep coming across contradicting information.   For example, Wikipedia lists - shows 3 albums and Rate Your Music - shows 4 albums, but does not list the songs.

Several songs are missing and I cant find the albums - for example Listen To The Man With The Golden Voice and others.

Not an easy question to answer... According to their official homepage, they've released only three albums, where other sources give as many as seven...

Anyway, these are the 7 albums I could find, listed chronologically:

Time Bandits (1982) *
Tracks (1983) **
Fiction (1985) *
Can't Wait For Another World (1987) *
Lookin' Out, Live It Up, Power e.a. (1987) ****
Greatest Hits (1990) ****
As Life (2003) ***

As I see it, the "old" band (in the 1980's) released three albums (marked *) indeed, along with a compilation (**). The band was disbanded, but reformed in the 2000's, with only lead singer Alides Hidding remaining of the original lineup. That explains the 2003 album (***). The other albums (****) are unofficial releases and/or compilations.

"Listen To The Man With The Golden Voice" is not on one of the three official albums, so I assume it must be on the "Tracks" compilation album.

I see some songs were released in 1983 - perhaps on the Tracks album, which you mention is a compliation.

Time Bandits are awesome.  I love their song 'I'm Only Shooting Love' the best which was somewhat of a popular dance club hit in Canada back in the day.  I first heard it on a compilation called 'Can't Stop Dancin' - Volume II'

I agree with you on "Live It Up" - their best song ever IMHO.

"Precious Little Diamond" is a song by Fox The Fox, not Time Bandits. Here's a video. It reached #14 in our charts.

The song can be found on their debut album "In The Dark Of The Nite" (1985).

Fox The Fox existed from 1981 till 1990.

Henk, Thanks for coming through again.  I must have mistaken the falsetto and synth lines on Precious Little Diamond for the Time Bandits. 

Whistledog - I'm Only Shooting Love is really great. I agree. They also have several other good songs.

I also like (the legendary) Ben Leibrand's remix of Endless Road and We'll Be Dancing is fun.
