Hi All! I was wondering if anyone remembers a song in the early-mid 80's that was written and sung by a young girl ( I think she was 12) who had survived child abuse and then wrote the song. It was played quite a bit and then was banned because people found it "too depressing for the holidays". I "thought" the song was "The Piano Song", but have had no luck in searching for it by that name. Anyone have any clue about what song I''m talking about??

It's a real creepy song, but it did chart. There were (if I counted correctly) 4,126 songs that debuted in the Billboard Hot 100 between January 1980 - December 1989 and I know (almost) what every single one of them sounds like

Heh! Not even I can boast that! Well done, Jason! :D
It was also quite hard on my ears. Outside of the US Top 40 in the 80s, there were alot of not so great songs that show why they weren't in the Top 40. When a wookie from Star Wars can chart a hit single, then you know you should stop listening ;D
