Subject: Who the trend started with women wearing big hopped earings?

Myself even though I was young in the 80's(I am 28 now) I thought Jody Watley or "Pebbles" started the big hooped earing trend that made a definite comeback in the 2000's in 2002. So am I right or am I wrong that Jody Watley or Pebbles started the big hoop earing trend for women in the 80's?

Sade wore them before either Watley or Pebbles. As for who started it, not exactly sure.

I remember those big hoops in the 70's. I don't think they were new then, either. My guess is they've existed a lot longer than any of us remember. As far as when they were a trend, not sure there.

I used to wear those big hoop earrings....I owned quite a few in many different colors. ;)

Yeah I was going to say Angela Davis made them famous in the 70s
