Subject: Best 80s Female Vocalist
Written By: cinnabon on 03/13/08 at 6:11 pm
After seeing the thread for male vocalists I thought I would give some equal time to the women - here are some of my favorites to start with:
Taylor Dayne
Anita Baker
Jody Watley
Samantha Fox
Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart
I'll probably think of more later. :)

One of my favourites was the late Laura Branigan. Those high notes she hit on 'Gloria' were just awesome! 8)

Taylor Dayne, Annie Lennox
Deborah Gibson, quite good for a teenager and much better than Tiffany and countless Disney products from this decade

Add Lulu to the list for she was still singing in the 80s.

Annie Lennox was the best female vocalist of the 80's for mine.
As far as female ARTISTS go I also liked Suzanne Vega (not the greatest vocalist but a unique sound)...

Wow! I have 2 Sandii albums from her solo years in the early 90s when she was also known as Sandii Suzuki!
