Rad

......NOT

I seem to remember "....NOT" coming alive during the mid-90's (1992-95 or thereabouts).

I do remember "rad" during the latter part of the 80s, though.

It was the late 80's.
87- 88 is when I first started using it after Anthrax's 'I'm the Law and 'I'm the Man' 12 inch came out.

"Hasta La Vista, Baby" was from one of the Terminator movies. It might've been from the first one, which of course was from the 80s. However, I do remember it getting popularized in the early 90's, when the second one was out.

"Hasta La Vista Baby" is from Terminator 2 in 1991 - it was used as a line however in Jody Watley's hit single "Looking for a New Love" in 1987.  :)

Also used by Tone Loc in "Wild Thing".
Now, let me think...

Bodacious! (probably around since the 60's, but in the late 80's it finally broke out of surfer lingo)
Humungous ("I did battle some humungous waves!" --Jeff Spicoli)
Heavy/Heavy Duty (I still say, "Weight has nothing to do with it!")
Yuppie(originally stood for Young Upcoming Professional)
"Just Say No" (coined by First Lady Nancy Reagan, but eventually wound up everywhere!)

BTW, "Spaz" is usually spelled with only one z.

Your Pal,
Doc

Frankie Says Relax (or any number of things on those white t-shirts).

and who could forget "PSYCHE!"

Around these here parts (Grand Rapids Michigan), we used to shorten "bogus" to just "boge" (pronounced bowg with a long O).
