Subject: Fun Boy Three or Bananarama?

I love them both. I prefer FBT entire records, but a few Bananarama singles.

My total favorite is "It Ain't What You Do It's The Way That You Do It", the goups combined.

I like FB3 (I thought their version of 'Our Lips Are Sealed' was better than the Go-Gos) but Bananarama gets my vote. I LOVED their last album 'Drama' so very much 8)

Bananarama was one of my favorites. Cruel Summer was so 80's.

I voted Bananarama for Wow 1987 and Pop Life 1991.
Not too keen on their before's and after's.

bananarama of course! their much more nicer to look at! ;D and still are putting out some great music! about 2 years ago they had the best album since the 80's, its called "drama" check it out!

As the lone dude to click "Fun Boy Three" -- their version of the Go Go's Our Lips Are Sealed is so deadpan straight-on that it's hilarious. And to then take it and sing it all over again in Urdu was... well, unexpected.

For more serious listening, their rendition of The Lunatics Have Taken Over The Asylum is similarly deadpan -- but it's all the more unnerving for it. As it should be.

Much as I enjoyed Bananarama's Venus cover, either of those FBT tracks would have earned my click. The fact that they did both put 'em well over the top. FBT is worth checking out, even if only through your favorite P2P or YouTube sources.

Didn't Bananarama reform recently?
............................. as an avid nannas fan for over 25 years i can tell you they never fully broke up! in 1988 one of the three girls sioban fahey left the group, and married dave stewart from the eurithmics, she returnds a few times in the early 00's but never again recorded with the other two girls, keren woodward and sarah dallin, the two still sing togeter and still release new music under the bananarama name, there last release from '06 i think was great it was called drama, check out some of the videos they have on you tube!

. yes! sioban was in that group and had at least three albums, also the girl who replaced her for a short time in bananarama, was in a band called slippery feet, her name was jacquie o'sullivan.
