God!  So many of them!  I've usually been partial to the not-so-well-known and not-so-overplayed songs of the time:

Sausalito Summernight by Diesel
Music Time by Styx
I've Never Been To Me by Charlene
Valley Girl by Frank and Moon Unit Zappa
You Can Have It by Kool & The Gang

These are just a few.  I'd have to go over my entire mp3 collection to make a more comprehensive list.

My all-time favourite 80s song is called 'Close My Eyes' by Paul Janz.  Chartwise, it was one of the least successful songs in Canada during the 80s, just barely scraping into the 100 Singles chart, but because of CANCON, it got big radio play and I remember it well.  A beautiful song from a great decade that always takes me back 8)

Sort of yeah. ;D I've been listening to most of those since the actual '80s or at least the first half of the '90s, so I barely have to even think about it.

Oh, speaking of one thing - don't you think the video mixes of most of Paula's songs were better than the ones on the albums? Like you said, "Cold Hearted" has the extra psuedo rapping in the middle (as well as the little instrumental breaks between the verses cut out). "Opposites Attract" has the Skat Cat raps and a teeny bit of a different intro too.

Yeah I do... I was a little disappointed with the album because the music did vary from the videos... then they came out with the remix album and that was worse.

Speaking of Paula's videos besides Elijah Wood... do you know if any of those kids from Forever Your Girl grow up to do anything?

1.  Find a website with the lists of KROQ's year-end songs.

2.  Cross-reference to list any KROQ song from 1982 through 1989 that also charted pop (even if it barely charted).

3.  That's my list.

Any hair-band song, plus 95% of all the others.

It's probably easier just to list the few 80's songs you don't like....
