I hope I spelled his last name right! ???
Anyway, I always, and still do, like his solo hit 'I Need You' But he has been in many other bands as well. Rather than do one of those polls, of the following, what group did you prefer him in?:
Squeeze
Ace
Mike & The Mechanics

Yes, you have spelled in right.
Looking at his career in the pop industry, I like him in all the bands he has been in, even as a Session Musician on keyboards for Frankie Miller

I knew that he was a member of 3 different bands, as well as having a solo career. He's been quite a busy man these past 33+ years. Of his recordings, I think I enjoy "How Long" the best.

Of all his appearances, my favourite is 'Everybody Gets A Second Chance' by Mike and the Mechanics which he sang lead on. From the 'World of Mouth' album which that song appears, I prefer the title track more, but that one was sung by the late great Paul Young

Paul Carrack. Many good songs with many different groups or while solo. I can't think of anyone else who's done that.
I always liked these
How Long -- Ace (1975)
Don't Shed a Tear -- Paul Carrack (1987)
Taken In -- Mike & The Mechanics (1985)
Tempted -- Squeeze (198?)

I want to say 1981, but I'm not entirely sure. Might make sense, since that's during the time he had his stint with the band Squeeze.

Had the pleasure of seeing Paul Carrack perform live in 1987 as Belinda Carlisle's opening act! Talk about a great double bill!

I love his performance in How Long.
I also loved the songs Don't Shed a Tear and One Good Reason.
I'm a big fan. He was a great choice to fill in with Squeeze, as well.
