Wow, MTV is actually acknowledging their past for once. I remember last year was MTV's 25th anniversary and the only one doing anything was VH1 Classic. Good to see MTV admitting that its been around for over 20 years and providing a glimpse of past award shows.

Surprise, surprise! I wonder what's the point of even having the VMA's anymore since they rarely even show music videos? :-\\

Apparently videos dont draw in ratings for advertising revenue. Both MTV and VH1 (misnomers) only shows videos on saturday mornings and two hours in the afternoon. The majority of shows have nothing to do with music or videos. Any suggestions for name changes for "Music Television" and "Video Hits 1"????

I was just thinking that. How can MTV still call itself Music Television, if it plays so little music. These days, if you aren't old enough to remember the days were MTV still played videos, you may not even know what it stands for. Like, for example, a few years ago this kid that used to live next door to us told me that he thought MTV stood for "Movie Television".
The thing is these days thats an easy mistake to make ;D
