This is a song from the 80's. I wish I new even one lyric in the song, but it's the video that haunts me. The background is animated paper mache. Predominantly a smiling moon. All I remember is the end of the video, the guy drives away with a bubble gum blonde in a blue convertible, and the moon smiles and winks.
I know it's too much to hope that I'll even get close, but I am hoping.
I also remember the guy picking up the girl and going to a drive in movie.

Not sure about the blue convertible, but the first thing that sprang to mind was "Don't Answer Me" by the Alan Parsons Project ...

I agree with whistledog --Don't Answer Me was the first thing I thought of too. I LOVED that song/video.
